Food Service

If you’re looking into coming to Lazy F because a friend referred you – you’ve probably heard good things about our food service.   If it’s your first time looking into Lazy F, rest assured that you will eat well, eat healthy, and have tons of options at every meal.  In fact, many would say food is one of the things we do best.

What’s our “Recipe”? – Our basic philosophy says, never run out of food, serve it hot, serve it on time, and have options for special diets.  But if you look into the meals we serve, you’ll find that we try to make almost everything from scratch, we serve balanced meals, and we’ll make menus based on what works for your group.

Breakfasts

At every breakfast we offer a set selection of food and then add on the main courses.  All breakfasts include: oatmeal (with all the “fix’ins”), 3 to 4 cereal options, 3 to 4 yogurt options, a selection of fruit, milk, juice, hot water for tea or hot cocoa, and of course coffee.

Main courses for Breakfast might be:

Our famous Cinnamon Rolls, scrambled eggs and bacon

Pancakes and sausage (you can ask for our home made hot syrup and blueberry

          syrup)

To-die-for French Toast (very special recipe) and choice of meat

Quiche and veggie quiche – only trouble with this one is that you can’t help but get

           seconds

Biscuits and Gravy with meat and Gravy sans meat, and eggs

*you can substitute in hash browns for the meat if your group would prefer

Lunch

All lunches come standard with fresh, from scratch, baked cookies (baker’s choice each day), fruit bowl, milk, water, hot water, and coffee

Main courses for Lunches might be:

Taco bar (specially requested by about half our groups)

Chicken Sandwiches (breaded, patties, or breasts) and tater tots or  potato wedges

Chicken Quesadilla and vegetarian quesadillas, Spanish rice and fix'ins

Sandwich bar – starting with good break, meats, toppings and chips

     Burgers and fries

Pulled chicken BBQ sandwiches and tater tots

Soup specials and grilled cheese – start with tomato soup and then add on 1 to 2

other soups that we’ll make from scratch.  (Many groups ask for Dave’s

           Minnesota Wild Rice Soup)

Dinners

All dinners come standard with a salad bar (main salad, second salad, homemade dressing, homemade croutons, and of course all the normal topping, fresh baked bread, a special dessert, milk, and coffee.

Main course (too many to list all so we’ll go with the most popular)

Turkey dinner, mash potatoes, gravy, green beans

Chicken stir-fry, fried rice, and vegetable

Lemon Chicken, rice pilaf, and vegetable

Spaghetti with meal, veggie spaghetti, vegetable, and breadsticks

     Lasagna, veggie lasagna, vegetable, breadsticks

Chili, baked potato bar (you might ask for sweet corn bread)

Other "bites" of information about our food service:

We generally serve meals at 8:00am, 12:00 (noon), and 5:30pm

We strive to serve those with special diets and allergies, sometimes though, we can use help.  Vegetarians and those with general allergies (like peanuts / dairy) are easy to satisfy.  For vegans and gluten allergies - please contact our food service and we'll work out the best plan for the meals we can.
